How We Set These Ranges
Ranges are typical Calgary figures for 2025-2026, aggregated from published Calgary roofing prices and checked against the City of Calgary's relative-cost table for roofing materials and its 2026 permit fee schedule. They are never one contractor's quote. Regulator and code facts come from the City of Calgary, the Alberta Permit Regulation, the National Building Code – 2023 Alberta Edition, Service Alberta, WCB-Alberta, Alberta OHS and the Insurance Bureau of Canada. Reviewed yearly.
What a range means
A range is where most Calgary jobs of that kind land, not the cheapest or the most expensive quote anyone has seen. A steep, tall or cut-up roof, a second layer to remove, rotted decking or a premium product moves a job toward the top; a simple roof on a single layer moves it toward the bottom.
What the ranges leave out
They do not include structural repairs, asbestos removal on older houses, eavestroughs, or anything an inspection turns up that nobody could see from the ground. Those should appear as separate, itemized lines on a quote.
What the estimators do
The estimators multiply the same per-square-foot and per-sheet figures by the inputs you give them and round to the nearest $100. They cannot see your roof. Use the result to judge whether a written quote is in the normal band, then compare quotes line by line.
Who we are
Calgary Roof Repairs is a matching service, not a roofing company. We do not inspect, repair or install roofs, and we do not screen or verify contractors. Before paying a deposit, check the roofer's Alberta prepaid contracting licence and ask for a WCB-Alberta clearance letter.
